Anyone in the housing market is interested (often anxious) about the national economy. For that reason, I commend a blog written by the BBC's Economics Editor, Stephanie Flanders.
In her blog, Ms Flanders gives the Best Prepared Award to Canada for is prudent fiscal management, which has provided stable growth in recent years and isolated Canada from the more severe effects of the current world wide financial crisis.
One line: "Canada didn't have a nationwide house price bubble in the lead up to this crisis".
