Region of Durham is the largest geographic region in the Greater Golden Horseshoe. It encompasses the Municipality of Clarington; the Cities of Oshawa and Pickering; the towns of Ajax and Whitby; and the Townships of Brock, Scugog and Uxbridge. Our region is characterized by a series of major lakeshore urban communities contrasting a variety of small towns, hamlets and villages. We are proud of our diverse economic base and balanced representation in key sector areas, including advanced manufacturing, agri-business, energy and tourism.
