Much of the heritage appeal of Bowmanville's downtown district is intact, and many residents enjoy the shops and restaurants found here. With good schools, an extensive network of youth sports opportunities and amenities, this community is very attractive for young families.
Everything you need is easily accessible via the picturesque main street and bus service. Farmland surrounds Bowmanville on three sides and is bordered by Lake Ontario to the south. It has a harbour area, Port Darlington, along the lake. Many of its citizens work outside the town at nearby General Motors or in Toronto.
